The Equity Continuum is a self-reflective tool which allows administrators to examine their role related to equity and inclusion in their school communities. It is a detailed overview of considerations for administrators and administrative teams to keep in mind when implementing the Equity Strategy in school communities.
The Continuum is structured in a progressive manner in order to honour the different entry points of schools and school communities. The Continuum offers a series of elements, including concrete actions which could be considered by stakeholders in the school environment to support equity and inclusion. Moreover, it is a way of describing the different phases in the implementation process. The Continuum is based on the eight domains of the Ontario Equity Strategy.
